I would like to try here step by step to put together all the advantages of small cell bees.
Extended flight times of small-celled bees
Today, Dee Lusby has written something interesting in her American discussion group..
The point was that a colleague wrote that his bees were flying at 14 ° C and even brought some pollen.
Dee answered:
DEE LUSBY has written:
there is always some pollen with temps in 70s and even 60sF
weather ………… for stuff near rocks and other physical doings radiate heat for
keeping things blooming though not in large quantity and small heels can find it
normally which you seem to have happened …………… while big fat LC
bees can not do that, for smaller flys at lower temps and higher temps and
earlier and later in daytime …………………… ..so what ever ground
cover or other is blooming is nice ………… for even out here in 60s / 70s
weather the bees are bringing some stuff back … ..though not
much …… ..but it’s more butting the hills up higher and not the valleys so much.
